RELATIONSHIPS
Why do I feel lonely in my relationship?
A relationship doesn’t automatically prevent loneliness. You may be missing emotional closeness even while sharing a home or a routine.
Describe your experience clearly
At a calm time, describe what you miss and one thing you’d like to try together. Leave room to hear the other person’s experience too. A conversation can be a beginning; it doesn’t have to settle everything.
Make room for support beyond your partner
Friends, family, and professional support can also be part of your life. If a conversation with your partner feels unsafe, seek individual support from someone you trust instead of forcing it.
A small thing to try
Try: ‘I’ve been missing our connection. Could we make some time this week to talk without screens? I’d like to hear how you’ve been feeling too.’
